Welcome! I am Chloe Kahakua, the founder and lead instructor here at UpBeat CPR. We are so excited that you are here! The journey here has been long and rocky, I struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety with both of my boys. After my second son, I realized I had now doubled the chances of a potential accident happening in our home and had no knowledge of what to do.

These worries fed into my postpartum depression, paralyzing me. At the same time, I realized that the corporate job I had spent a decade climbing up the ladder for was no longer going to work. I pursued a CPR certification and then continued onto an Instructor Certification. I felt called to create a service that I wasn’t quite able to find—something that was flexible, comprehensive, and hands-on.

Through HSI and Red Cross, our CPR certification knowledge and abilities are top-notch. Seeing a gap in the market, we are so excited to offer additional classes and resources specifically for parents and caregivers. I believe I was called by a higher power to this work and am committed to offering the highest quality training to all our clients!
